'Play is Serious Business'! New release from Alice Garrick.
|
Woohoo! Hooray! The crowd of 5 year olds goes wild! It is the new Alice Makes Music kids album from Melbourne based singer/songwriter Alice Garrick!
Can cuttlefish glow in the dark? Just how much do dung beetles love poo? Do (imaginary) dinosaurs need to sleep? How do you dress a giraffe? All these questions you've always wanted to know are answered on the new album! With the usual helping of funny, silly and sweet songs you've come to expect from Alice, 'Play is Serious Business' celebrates family diversity, celebrates the super powers of a mama's love, celebrates why babies are like wonderful, little puddings and celebrates the love of a dung beetle for their babies (and their love for poo)! Lots of celebration going on! Alice Garrick blends sweet melodies, acoustic guitar and ukulele with funny lyrics about animals and imaginary friends to create gentle songs that are intended to support children's emotional development, support attachment relationships between parents and their grown ups and capture kids imaginations. Alice's music is based on a solid foundation of child development theories and the importance of supporting children's development with nurturing, secure, attached relationships between children and caregivers. Through music Alice encourages relationships where children have a safe space to be themselves and to share and explore emotions. |
