| My little friend Indigo and her dad, Mat, have started their own band, Stinky Picnic, and have released their debut album, 'Cockles'. I love it! You might remember 3 year old Indi (now 4) from the film clip that she made with her dad for my song Angus and the Dinosaurs. Their wonderful creativity doesn't stop there and they've gone on to make their own album of gorgeous songs sung by Indigo and supported with back up vocals and instruments by her musician dad. I do really love the song, 'Mama' which has the lyrics 'I love you so much mama, I love you so much' sung over and over. Ellie the Elephant parts one and two are also very cute, a story all about Ellie's Elephant adventures. Indigo really impresses me with her singing on 'Molly Malone'. It may have been created by a 3 year old but don't underestimate this album. Indigo's wonderful, expressive voice and funny little rhymes are skillfully supported by dad's music so that the charm of Indigo's songs shine though. It really is a very listenable album. At 'Name your own price' this album is really worth a download. Put it on repeat a few times and it will win you over! |
Had I just been roaring like I dinosaur when this photo was taken? I can't explain why I am pulling a funny face but I do know I had a fantastic time at the End of the Line Festival! There was a great turn out and the kids space that was set up by the folk from Renewal Arts was just fantastic! What a great grassroots community arts festival, I can't wait until the next one. If you came a long to see my performances, thank you! Despite the heat the kids where roaring, dancing, twirling and playing music instruments with enthusiasm and panache! Thanks to Kelly for the photo (and her gorgeous little girls who got so involved).
