Selbyfest 2013!
It looks set to be a great day coming up at Selbyfest this Saturday March 23rd. If you're local to the hills, or even if you're not, it's definitely worth a trip to this great community festival. So much fun stuff!
I'll be performing at 4pm and I'll be running a workshop at 3:30pm (bookings on the day) which will look a little something like this:
Alice Makes Music Workshop!
Come and join children’s music performer Alice Garrick from ‘Alice Makes Music’ for a music and storytelling session like you’ve never experienced before. Together we will go on exciting adventures into unknown places, using music, props, games and actions, making it all up together as we go. Will we go to Antarctica, the jungles of the Amazon or even The Moon? Wherever we end up we’re sure to make up a song or two about it while playing along with percussion instruments. We’re also sure be dressed for the occasion in some of the weird and wonderful props that come out of Alice’s Bag of Surprises. Alice assures parents their children will not come back wet or muddy or with a pet dragon but she can't promise they won't spend the rest of the day making monkey noises. Alice’s workshops suit kids aged 3 through 10 years. Every child can engage at their own level and will find the stories and songs changing with the ideas that they come up with. Workshop $5 per child or free with purchase on the day of Alice's new album 'Play is Serious Business'.
